Collection & Research

Yan Hong, Insurance Law Librarian

Insurance Law librarian Yan Hong, trained in Beijing and Salt Lake City, exemplifies the Insurance Law Center's commitment to a global perspective.

Housed in the Law School's beautiful new library building, the Insurance Law Collection features an extensive collection of current legal and social scientific materials relating to insurance as well as a growing collection of international and historical materials.  Working with librarians and archivists responsible for Hartford's many public and private insurance collections, the Insurance Law Center is identifying and consolidating historically significant insurance materials for preservation and use. The Insurance Law Collection's web page provides extensive links to insurance law and related information on the World Wide Web. Access to computer legal research is facilitated by the campus-wide computer network. WESTLAW and LEXIS, the Internet, the World Wide Web, and e-mail are all loaded for use in the student computer labs in the library and available at any of the more than 950 computer access points throughout the facility.
