Application Instructions for Visiting Admission

  1. Complete and sign the Application for Admission, the Residency Affidavit, and the College Certification (for your undergraduate degree-granting institution). Return all forms with each of the required essays and attachments. Essay #14 should specifically address in 250 words or less why you wish to visit at the University of Connecticut School of Law. You do not need to submit letters of recommendation.
  2. Submit a check payable to the "University of Connecticut School of Law" for $30 to apply to a single Division (either Day or Evening) or for $45 to apply to both Divisions.
  3. Obtain a letter of good standing from the dean at your current law school. The letter should grant permission to visit and indicate that credit for specific courses will be transferable.
  4. Obtain an official transcript from your current law school showing grades (including spring grades) and your class rank.
  5. Indicate if the application is for a single semester or the entire academic year.
  6. Applications may be submitted after May 1, 2008 and must be postmarked no later than July 1, 2008. Applications will be reviewed during July/August, 2008. (All applications must be complete and in our office by July 15, 2008.)
  7. After completing the application, submit all required materials at the same time. The College Certification should be signed by you and the appropriate person, sealed in an envelope by the school official, and signed along the seal by that person.
  8. The applicant must sign all application materials and required forms in ink.
  9. Information about the status of an application can be given only to the applicant.
