Timothy Everett, Clinical Professor of Law. Professor Everett teaches in the Trial and Appellate Divisions of the Criminal Clinic. He also regularly teaches criminal procedure and has taught advanced legal writing and co-taught advanced criminal procedure. Professor Everett received a B.A. (in English) in 1975, and an M.A. (in English Linguistics) in 1977 from Clark University, and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1984. Professor Everett taught law elsewhere and then worked in private practice (land use and environmental law) before joining the clinical staff here in 1987. His special interests include appellate brief writing, use of lexicographic authority in the law, and linguistic perspectives on the practice of law.
