Description:
This course discusses structural limitations on the powers of state and federal governments imposed by the Constitution of the United States. Topics include limits on granted federal powers, particularly under the Commerce, Taxing and Spending clauses, separation and division of powers within the federal government, including limitations on judicial review, and limits on state power to tax and regulate, imposed by the Commerce Clause and related provision.
