Description:
This is a clinic in which students do advanced clinical work representing clients before federal and state tax departments and litigating tax cases under the supervision of clinic staff. Students are directly and primarily responsible for interviewing and counseling clients, fact investigation and discovery, legal research, preparation of protests and pleadings, attending IRS conferences, conducting negotiations, and handling Tax Court or District Court trials. Open to upperclass students who previously were enrolled in the Legal Clinic:Tax Clinic Division for the entire academic year.
