| Students who have taken the Intellectual Property Clinic for one semester may continue to work on cases, doing advanced work under the supervision of clinic attorneys, based on availability of appropriate work. Students are directly and primarily responsible for interviewing and counseling clients, fact investigation, legal research, conducting trademark and patent searches and drafting appropriate opinions, preparing documents for filing with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and the Library of Congress, assisting clients with entity formation, and drafting and negotiating license and other basic commercial agreements.
